At Excel Beyond Wisdom, our mission is to uplift and develop young volleyball players in the Philadelphia area by creating a space where talent, dedication, and potential are never overlooked. Founded by Edwin Waters Jr.—a proud Northeast Philadelphia native, former Philadelphia Starling club player, and two-time All-Public selection from Abraham Lincoln High School—this program is rooted in experience, passion, and a deep commitment to giving back to the community that shaped him.

After helping lead Arcadia University to its first-ever MAC Conference Championship in 2019, Edwin saw firsthand the lack of structured support and opportunity for young volleyball players in our city. He recognized that many talented athletes were going unnoticed simply because they lacked access to the right resources and guidance. Excel Beyond Wisdom was built to change that.

We work closely with every child, offering individualized coaching, mentorship, and life skills development. We focus not only on athletic performance, but also on building confidence, character, and leadership off the court. Our program ensures that each athlete is seen, supported, and inspired to grow.
